KERNOW PIPES AND DRUMS – AIR SEA RESCUE DAY, LANDS END WEDNESDAY 27 JULY 2011

It was a hot morning as we drove down to Lands End and it stayed that way with the addition of a cool breeze from the sea. As we arrived the sky was busy with two bi-planes complete with wing walkers, diving and swooping in a spectacular aerobatic display.
The assembled members of the band were 7 pipers and 3 drummers in the first 6 pm slot which increased to 8 pipers in the second slot at 7 pm.
No 2 dress of shirt sleeves was worn and as they marched in to the main seating area to play they were enthusiastically received by the crowded Complex of visitors and holiday-makers.
