KERNOW PIPES ST AGNES BBC RADIO CORNWALL PHOENIX STROKE APPEAL 30 AUGUST 2011

Pipers: Don, Nigel, Jason, Tom, David,

It was a relaxed affair in the village of St Agnes on the occasion of the Radio Cornwall Phoenix Stroke Appeal. With a reduced band of just five pipers it seemed the right amount of members for the cosy village affair.

The band met at 6.15 outside the Scouts Hall and walked down to the church hall to play at 6.30. They had a couple of slots where there was no time limit on their playing or when they played. A lovely afternoon in a lovely village and the weather was good. There was great support for the cause and lots of events inside the packed hall with a raffle and side stalls. All in all it was a very relaxed afternoon which finished around 3 pm and the visitors to the event were an appreciative audience.
