The band met in the Quarry car park for tune-up and briefing, before heading down to the Moor, via a quick cup of something warm at Wetherspoons.  This year, the weather was kind to us, as the Kernows led the procession up the hill to where the service was to be held in Kimberley Park.  Tunes played included “When the Battle’s O’er” and also our WW1 set, comprising, “Pack up your Troubles in your Old Kit Bag”, “It’s a Long Way to Tipperary” and “Keep the Home Fires Burning”.  We had a good turnout, with twelve pipers (including Ron, a guest from City of Truro), nine drummers and a drum major.
