It was a racing start for the Poppy Launch at Trebah with a rally of vintage cars setting off to drive the 75 miles to Mount Edgcumbe Country Park with our patron, the Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, waving the chequered flag! The British Legion motor cyclists lead the parade of vehicles out of the drive to the sound of the pipes and cheers from supporters. Emma, Dave and Nigel formed a trio of pipers from the Kernows to play for the drivers and the dignitaries before marching the standards back down to the house. Good weather, tea and a bacon roll was a great start to the event followed up by some more tea and finishing off the left over mince pies after the event! Thanks to Annie and Trebah for doing a great job of hosting us all!
